Krisp is a real-time audio processing tool that uses AI to remove background noise, voices, and echo from microphone input and speaker output during calls. It works as a virtual audio device that sits between your microphone and any communication application, meaning it works with Zoom, Teams, Slack, Google Meet, Discord, and any other call application without requiring integration or configuration within those apps.

The noise cancellation quality is strong. Krisp effectively removes common background sounds including office noise, keyboard typing, dog barking, traffic, HVAC systems, and other persistent background sounds. Unlike hardware noise cancellation that physically blocks sound, Krisp's AI processing removes these sounds from the audio signal in real time, making remote workers in noisy environments sound as though they are in a quiet office.

The meeting assistant features, added alongside the core noise cancellation, include automatic meeting transcription, AI-generated meeting notes, and action item extraction. These expand Krisp from a pure audio tool into a broader meeting productivity product.
